Open Doors Project™
Good workspace shouldn't only be for people who can afford it.

The Open Doors Project™ is how ARC makes sure it belongs to the neighbourhood, not just to its members. Every ARC Club holds space for local organisations doing meaningful work nearby. The same desks. The same coffee. The same hosts.

Access, not charity.

Open Doors provides free or subsidised workspace - desks, meeting rooms, event space - to local charities, community groups and social enterprises who need a proper base but can't afford one at commercial rates.

It's not a separate programme that happens alongside ARC. It's built into how every Club operates. Each location maintains a small number of Open Doors places, approved through a clear process and reviewed regularly.

Open Doors members use ARC exactly as paying members do. Same space. Same welcome. No distinction.

How Open Doors works.

There are two types of Open Doors access. Both are free. Both are reviewed annually. Both have limited availability at each Club and applications are subject to availability.

Open Neighbour

Eight days a month at ARC, free of charge. For local charities, non-profits, CICs and community groups. Full access to everything a standard Neighbour membership includes.

Open Desk

A permanent personal desk, free of charge. For individuals or organisations delivering sustained local impact who need a consistent base to work from.

Both types of access require an annual commitment with a six-month mutual review, and participation in ARC's impact reporting

Is this for you?

To qualify for Open Doors, organisations need to meet three criteria.

Local impact.
Your work creates clear, tangible benefits for people in the area e.g. employment support, youth programmes, creative opportunities, social support, education, community organising or similar.

Local presence.
You operate in or around the neighbourhood where the ARC Club is. Your members, beneficiaries or activity are rooted here.

Financial need.
Commercial workspace at market rate isn't a realistic option for you right now

If you think Open Doors might be right for your organisation, we'd like to hear from you. The application takes about ten minutes. We'll ask you a few straightforward questions about your work, your connection to the area and how you'd use the space.

We review applications at each Club and aim to respond within two weeks.
